Nine Men Prosecuted for Sexual Exploitation of 50 Women in Buenos Aires

In Buenos Aires, nine men have been prosecuted for sexually exploiting 50 women, including two minors. The criminal operation was conducted under the guise of a nightclub called 'D’Lirio' in the upscale Recoleta neighborhood. An investigation confirmed that the establishment, which also had locations in Mar del Plata, was linked to the company Safago SRL. The network was found to be offering sexual encounters with clients in nearby hotels. Judge Sebastián Casanello ordered the prosecution of the accused without pretrial detention, who allegedly recruited and received at least 50 women to exploit them sexually at the 'D’Lirio' venue, located across from the Recoleta Cemetery. The investigation also revealed the presence of underage women, drug sales, and possible police collusion. The operation was structured under the company Gran Recoleta S.A., with a clear division of roles. One accused was responsible for contacting and interviewing women and assigning them clients; another handled general administration and recruitment of new workers; a third conducted recruitment through social media; and a fourth managed reservations and recorded profits from 'copas'. Additionally, four other accused individuals participated in necessary tasks related to the administration of the venue, registration of women, money reception, and daily logistics. Women were primarily recruited through social media like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp with false job offers under the term 'presences' to lure them to the establishment and exploit their vulnerability. For these 'jobs', women received fixed payments of between $7,000 and $20,000 per night, had to be present from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and would not be paid if they arrived late or left early.
